Overview

Merzouga Erg Chebbi dunes tour by 4X4

Our 4x4 jeep tour begins from your accommodation (hotel or camp) in Merzouga, heading towards the seasonal Merzouga Lake (which can sometimes dry up). This will be a great opportunity to observe migratory birds if the lake is full. We then continue driving off-road until we reach the village of Khamlia, where we stop to enjoy traditional Gnawa music and dance.

From Khamlia, we continue our journey into the Black Desert, stopping at a mountaintop to enjoy a panoramic view of the Erg Chebbi dunes and the Black Desert, before heading to the lead mines where we stop to explore the area and learn about the fossils and lead mines. Afterwards, we continue our jeep tour of the Black Desert along the Algerian border until we reach the homes of Bedouin families in the desert, where we stop to learn about their way of life and share tea with them in their tents.

Then we explore an abandoned village.

Upon arrival in Merdani, we drive back to your hotel or camp, depending on your final destination.
